In 2 Corinthians 5, Paul says that Christ’s love compels us – because we are convinced that Jesus is who he says he is. We become, Paul says, a new creation, transformed in our thinking and our perspective. That said, the real question is, what does that the love of Christ compel us to DO?
Hebrews 8:7 makes it clear that the first covenant (with Israel) had a problem, and that covenant was replaced (8:13) by a new one. In chapter 9, the writer begins to detail the new covenant, providing a number comparisons between Jesus and the New Testament, and the law of Moses and the tabernacle.
