Compelled to Reconcile

In this lesson from 2 Corinthians 5, Mike focuses on verses 14-21.

In Acts 4, Peter said, “we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” In other words, Peter felt compelled to talk about Jesus and the resurrection.

In 2 Corinthians 5, Paul says that Christ’s love compels us – because we are convinced that Jesus is who he says he is. We become, Paul says, a new creation, transformed in our thinking and our perspective.

That said, the real question is, what does that the love of Christ compel us to DO? That is the question that Mike answers in this lesson.

“Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”
