About Us

Clearly, the Open Door Church of Christ is not an actual building or physical structure. Instead, the “church” is simply the people you meet as you come in the front door – a group of individuals who proclaim Christ Jesus as king and are called Christians, like the Bereans in Acts 11:26.

Our objective is to worship like Christians in the first century as revealed by the New Testament.  As such, we make every effort to avoid man-made creeds or philosophies and consider the word of God to be our only guide and standard of authority. Our whole purpose is to serve and love one another while opening our door to the community of Broken Arrow.

The  minister at Open Door is Dan Langdon. He and his wife Kathy have been ministering for nearly twenty years, mostly serving overseas. After graduating from Oklahoma Christian University, they worked as vocational missionaries (serving as Assistant English Teachers) in the public school system of Mito, Japan and helping to establish several English Bible Schools in the mission effort.

Four months after leaving Japan, the Langdon’s moved to Scotland where they worked with two congregations during their ten-year stay and were instrumental in developing a Christian youth camp whose reach extends across Scotland and into England and Ireland.

Dan is father to four beautiful children, Liam, Abby, Levi, and Anna Grace.  He coaches, plays music, enjoys all kinds of sports and desires nothing more than to reveal the Christ first to his family then to as many as God allows.
