Mike’s sermon this morning continues the series from the book of 1 Corinthians.
In 1 Corinthians 5, Paul deals with a difficult – and perhaps a little awkward – situation regarding sexual immorality. He asks the church in Corinth to be absolute in dealing with the offer: “…hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved…(1 Corinthians 5:5 NIV)”.
Is that harsh? Is it callous?
Or is it loving?
In this lesson, Mike unpacks the principles present in 1 Corinthians 5 and the reasons that Christians should obey God’s commands and hold themselves to a higher standard of moral conduct.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
