This lesson continues Mike’s sermons based on the Wednesday night “Summer Series,” teaching from the books 1-2 Peter and 1-3 John.
God’s intent is that we be transformed! Peter said that once we were not “a people,” but now we are “the people of God,” a “royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:10 NIV).
But that doesn’t happen without transformation. We are not priests, we become priests. God, through his saving grace, transforms us from sinners to his Chosen People.
Therefore, I urge you brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
