This is the third lesson in Mike’s series, “The Power of Time.”
To truly understand and capture the “power” of time, Christians must take “time” to be thankful. Taking that time – seeing your life from a positive perspective, without comparison – is a critical part of your happiness.
Happiness is determined by your perspective, not your circumstances. In fact, happiness is simply an attitude; a function of the way you see your life, not what you have or don’t have.
Key thought: Comparison is the enemy of contentedness.
“Count your blessings…name them one by one. Count your blessings…see what God has done.”
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Psalm 118:1 (NIV)
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.
Hebrews 12:28 (NIV)
