In 1 Corinthians 7, the people of the church in Corinth have apparently asked Paul a number of questions regarding relationship, which he undertakes to answer. Marriage. Divorce. Remaining single. These are all topics of concern, given the persecution of Christians in the first century.
Remember the children’s game, Hide-and-Seek? One child counts while everyone else hides. Then, when the child is done counting, he or she calls out, “Ready or not, here I come!!” This popular game provides the perfect analogy for Mike’s message about the end of time.
